Dome hanging lampshades...

They go by many different names. But it doesn't really matter what you call them...they are cool. And our version of the dome and round globe shaped yarn fiber hanging pendant light lampshade (whew) is pretty amazing. In fact, it may be my personal favorite pendant light shade that we have. (But that's debatable because I also really, really like several of the others, including our white hand-made ceramic pendant light shades and our cement lamp shades.

Here are 7 Reasons Why We Love These Round Globe Lampshades.

1. They are handmade from fibers in France. How many items do you have in your house that you can say were handmade in France? For me I know it's not many (if any besides these shades).

2. They are affordable. Hello! See reason #1 above and then think about what the starting price for these lampshades are. (Now hurry and go buy all the shades we have before they price these out of sight before we can get more in:)

3. They are round, but they come in a small box. Doesn't make sense does it? But these actually shipped folded and in a box.

4. Got 5 minutes? These are a great and easy to make (and impress others with) DIY project. You pull these of the box, put a balloon in it and squirt it down with water then let it dry. That's it, it's ridiculously simple to do and gives a great sense of accomplishment. In fact it's so easy that I've made a "How To" videa on how to perfectly make our round fiber lampshades. I'll put it at the bottom of this post.

5. They look cool. These are like little moons or colorful domes that look great everywhere! Pair them with a frosted led bulb with a color temp over 4,000K and you have a fantastic looking light fixture!

6. They work with our pendant lights. All you need is one of our double ferrulle penda nt lights for lampshades or plugin pendant lights and your set.

7. They never go out of style. From mid-century modern to shabby chic these look good in all types of interiors. The classic shape and style always looks fresh and impresses.
