SI!, the first battery lamp without a battery

An innovative 5V lamp powered by a simple USB-C cord, where versatility, sustainability and design come together.

SI! is the lamp that gives you a glimpse into the future. A modular designer project, akin to the rest of our products, but even more sustainable and versatile. This creation stems from the timeless motto Less is more, which led us to scrap everything we didn’t absolutely need and rely on a different technology compared to usual lamps.

The result? The first portable lamp with no battery, that leaves behind 220V by solely relying on 5V voltage, the same one used by USB-C cords.

What's the reason for a portable lamp without a battery?

Got it already! We are surrounded by battery-powered devices that can be used to power the SI! thanks to a simple USB-C cable. This allows us to reuse existing batteries instead of having to purchase new ones.

Environmental impact. Battery production has a significant environmental impact, which includes mineral extraction, energy use, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Disposal difficulty. Used batteries must be responsibly disposed of, which can be difficult or expensive depending on the type of battery and local regulations.

Cost savings. Purchasing new batteries represents an additional cost.

Longevity. Batteries have a limited lifespan, and not having one onboard means that SI! will not age with it.

SUSTAINABLE

Less is more. Which is why for the SI! Lamp we made the difficult decision of parting with our beloved cables.

MODULAR

As it was designed following end-of-life cycle criteria, its components can be easily removed and recycled/reused.

VERSATILE

In your bedroom, on your terrace, or lying besides you on a picnic. Bring this lamp wherever you want and use it however you want.

To light up SI! any computer, smartphone, or small power bank will do… Or even easier, just attach it to a power socket with USB-C fitting.

Is there anything missing?

No, our new 5V lamp truly is the whole package! But the road to sustainability is never easy… to pursue it we had to leave behind our staple piece, the fabric cable. 

Instead, we thought the best way to power our SI! Lamp was by using something that could already be found in most homes: USB-C cable.

We decided to pair SI! with a metal base that can be placed on any plain, non-ferrous surface and with Attacca SI!, the metal washer that allows you to place the lamp anywhere you want, letting your creativity run freely.
