One of the latest additions to our website was Fermaluce Classic 90°, an innovative adjustable light point made up of our porcelain sockets and ceiling canopy, also available assembled with the Swing enameled metal lampshade.
The glossy finish and cheerful pastel colors of the porcelain give off a great warmth, the same you can find in a pendant made using sockets of the same material.
The cordset for the porcelain light socket, available in different colors, is very easy to wire, even though it is different from other light sockets we've seen in previous tutorials. As with the other light sockets, the first step to connect the porcelain light socket is to separate all the parts of the light socket, threading the previously stripped cord through the strain relief and the back body of the light socket. By unscrewing the front porcelain part, which also acts as a "cap" to lock the other components, you can remove the contact block: insert the copper wires into the appropriate terminals.
Once the clamps have been tightened with a screwdriver, we can reposition the contact block into the body of the Socket, where the threaded part with the E27 standard is also located to accommodate the light bulbs.
This simple cordset operation is almost complete. Let’s close it back up by screwing the front part onto the body of the socket and position the strain relief to keep the textile cord firmly in place: our porcelain socket is ready. Easy, right?
