In the heart of Paris’s 11th arrondissement, architect Xavier Leguet oversaw the renovation of a loft apartment, transforming it into a stylish and functional space.
Because of sloped ceilings and irregular volumes, the apartment required innovative lighting solutions. The products from the Filé and Lumet lines by Creative Cables turned out to be the perfect choice to meet these needs with style.
Every light, a challenge
One of the main challenges in renovations is repositioning light points. "The new light point is rarely in the same position as the previous one; and sometimes it can be complicated, if not impossible, to insert new electrical wire according to regulations," architect Xavier Leguet explained to us. This is where Lumet and Filé products came in, allowing the existing power supply to be maintained and the light points to be placed wherever needed. How? Thanks to exposed textile cables, which not only made installation easier but also enhanced the space with a colorful and decorative touch.

"It can be interesting to choose a lamp that extends lengthwise to accentuate the roofline. For an atypical space, nothing beats lighting that’s out of the ordinary."
