Valérie Menuet is a French designer from Nantes who, after years of working on set decorations for theater and show business, shifted her focus to creating objects that allowed her to combine her expertise in lighting and aesthetics. In her Nantes studio, Valérie began crafting unique pieces, often using reclaimed and “non-conventional” materials, blending the artistic effort of design and sculpture with the spirit of upcycling. In her creations, Valérie always pays close attention to functionality, ensuring every object is durable and useful as well as beautiful.
In these photos, we can appreciate two different projects, both made with our colored fabric cords, where color is truly an essential element!
The first is a multi-pendant lamp created using kitchen triggers and containers, along with our solid or patterned ZigZag round fabric cords. The second project is a pair of twin pendant lamps, with a minimal and Scandinavian-inspired design, where the orange fabric cord creates a strong contrast with the white walls and the natural wood tone of the lamps.
