A point of reference for lighting design enthusiasts and experts from Treviso and the Veneto region, the Creative Cables Store at viale Monte Grappa 58 is a place to find lamps and design systems, but also to fall in love with the world of lighting, expertly guided by Enrico Corradini. Owner of the store, but also a well-rounded author and artist, here’s what he told us about his relationship with our brand.
What attracted you to the world of lighting, and what makes it special for you?
I’ve always loved lamps, even as a family tradition. I come from Venice, whose waters surround the island of Murano, and I grew up immersed in the art applied to technical and functional materials. If you truly learn how to use the tools and their features well, lighting design allows for almost limitless and very exciting creations.
When did you first learn about Creative Cables and why did you choose us?
I’d heard about it during the 2019 Euroluce Fair in Milan. I realized it was a further evolution in the world of design and lighting, so I wanted to learn more.
How would you describe our products to someone who doesn’t know them?
Creative Cables products solve a variety of space and lighting challenges, offering multiple solutions for the needs of customers and designers—but especially for their creativity.
What are the most innovative products from Creative Cables?
Definitely the fabric-covered cord, which has been something of a revolution in the world of lighting. I really like the Taché, a very charming and colorful product. But rather than focusing on individual items, I’d highlight the versatility and wide range of combinations that the Creative Cables catalog offers customers. You can really let your imagination run wild and, which is no small thing in such gloomy times, have fun creating an object that fundamentally needs to be useful first, and beautiful second.
What’s the product your customers can’t live without anymore?
Lamps are influenced by fashion trends, just like any other object. Cars, clothes, and shoes—three pillars of fashion that define the style of an era—change depending on the years and human journeys. There were years when oversized light bulbs were all the rage, today there’s a return to the lampshade. Tomorrow? I don’t know, and I can’t wait to be surprised.
In what situations have our products made a difference in your customers’ experience?
When faced with the mismatch between spaces and needs, with Creative Cables products we managed to solve the problem by turning the flaw into a strength to enhance creativity with spectacular solutions.
It’s worth noting that I often repeat the word “solution.” Because light is exactly that: it dilutes the problem of darkness, it’s the antithesis of darkness.
