In the city of Hamar, Norway, a section of the city port has been reclaimed, creating a new space for activities, dining, and sports for the community.
The project is part of a broader initiative that will turn this space into the new city center.
The approach to rediscovery was holistic, aiming not to overturn the past but to embrace it with unique solutions that offered the community a new gathering space. We are very happy to have contributed to a project that combines the tradition of Scandinavian architecture with the modernity of cutting-edge technological solutions, breathing new life into an area that was at risk of being forgotten.
To properly and safely light up the Mjøsfronten, the old city port, they needed lights that could withstand humidity and bad weather while also being visually appealing. There couldn’t have been a better choice than the EIVA Outdoor IP65 system, with its water and weather resistance, able to handle even storms with ease.
At the same time, the versatility of EIVA solutions made it possible to integrate a lighting system into the space that is non-intrusive, elegant, and enhances the chosen solutions.
