The conference room at the French company Ravaliso’s headquarters, just outside Paris, is being completely redesigned.
No longer just meetings, but also training courses, lunch breaks, happy hours, and client meetings. Ravaliso therefore needs a multipurpose space, able to adapt to the daily rhythms and needs of work.
The project was designed by the newvélizy studio, which redesigned the 74 m² room by dividing it into three areas, without any barriers separating them. The result is a dynamic space where the function changes thanks to one key element: light.
The freedom to create custom atmospheres
In this remodel, lighting isn’t just decoration—it becomes architecture. Stéphane Toni, who oversaw the project, explains: “Creative Cables’ innovative solutions are a valuable resource for anyone involved in decoration, like myself. Each light, a different atmosphere
By day, a workspace; by night, a place to share a drink, welcome a client, and exchange ideas. No need for folding furniture or movable walls: just adjust the lighting.
This is where the Creative Cables solution comes in, designed to create visually distinct spaces:
- Wall sconces with Ghost light bulbs in a smoky finish outline the perimeter and welcome guests from the very entrance. The smoked glass, paired with warm light, creates a sophisticated, soft, retro atmosphere. These are lamps that add style even when turned off.
- The wall lights with S14d linear LED light bulb define the lounge area. A more technical yet equally striking light, which marks out the space without closing it off.
- The Tub-E14 pendant installed above the bar counter becomes the visual focal point of the room. The five two-tone cylinders create a luminous backdrop that enhances the counter and invites conversation.
When lighting solves problems
During the installation of the wall lights, the only issue was with the existing electrical system: the holes in the wall were too large to ensure precise mounting. The solution? Instead of using a standard ceiling canopy, a custom circular plate in matte black MDF was created, enhancing the symmetry of the Ghost wall light without altering its shape. A custom detail, in line with the Creative Cables design philosophy.
