Our Wooden light bulb socket kits are all craft made in our small factory in Italy.

These XL Wood sockets are specifically made and designed to work with our XL Rope Cables.

The natural wood style comes untreated and can be left as is to create a great Scandanavian style pendant light or lamp, or it can be painted or stained to fit your custom lighting needs.

You can match these with our Wood Ceiling Canopy for XL Rope Cables and any of our XL Rope cables that are 5/8 inch in diameter (16mm).

Note that ALL of our Wooden light bulb socket covers come as kits. This means that they INCLUDE a grounded E26 UL Listed light socket and a strain relief! (Compare to others who sell these parts separately.) We make sure that you have all the lamp parts and light supplies you need to create the perfect pendant light or plugin pendant light.

Design Note: While these socket kits do come with a special plastic conical strain relief, if you really want to up the style appeal we suggest you look under our strain relief listings on our website to find a metal cylindrical strain relief to go with these sockets. Just pick the color and length of the metal cylindrical strain relief you like and add it to your cart. They will all work with these sockets and our pendant light cables. Find them by going to Lamp Parts and Shades > Accessories > Strain Reliefs

Note that the interior light bulb socket has a built-in locking safety device that does not allow you to unscrew it once assembled. (This is to protect you from electric shock.)

We ship all our light sockets

not fully assembled and twisted closed so that the built-in locking safety mechanism is not "locked" when you receive it.

If the safety device does somehow become locked you can unlock this security system, located inside the socket on the side, with a small screwdriver. Please see our tutorial page for videos on how to unlock these light bulb sockets. And If you attempt to unlock the socket you must have the power
